Coinciding with the last days of the year, Google presents us with what could be the last new features of this year for its services. Among which we can highlight the new YouTube widgetWe'll tell you what it's all about.
New YouTube widget
Using these shortcuts is common in our daily lives, the ease of access to functions without having to open the application and in a much more direct way. The application has already had these for some time, but in recent months with the arrival of Material You, We're witnessing a redesign of both apps and their widgets, including the launch of new ones this time. Material You brings a more minimalist and fresh design, something we can see in the new widget, which also allows you to adapt its size to the ones you already have on your home screen, thus allowing you to further customize the screen.
Placing it is very simple, to do so, as we would do with any widget, we just have to follow the relevant steps in our case, Press and hold for a few seconds on a free area of the screen. Allow enough time to access the menu. From here, simply find the widget and place it where you want. But first, you can resize it to suit your needs.

It also includes the “shorts" from which we directly access short videos. This section is similar to Instagram reels, where we find short videos that occur sequentially. And finally the button “start” which, as its name indicates, takes us to the main screen of the app.
A new widget currently only available in the Android version of the app for users starting with version 12 and Material You. A substantial change in Android's design and look, it includes animations, transitions, and a much more rounded appearance. Although the dynamic colors are worth highlighting, these customization options base the color schemes on the wallpapers. Thus, system apps apply a custom palette extracted from the wallpapers, integrating more elements.
This also means that the same design displays a different result depending on the user's preferences, resulting in a personalized experience. Something that, as we have seen, applies to widgets, as we can see for example in this one. Buttons have a more rounded appearance, the color range adapts to the background through the use of dynamic color and the possibility of even including check boxes, and thanks to its responsive design They adapt to different formats.
