Sidecars continues to reveal to us, once again, the stories behind the eitheronce new compositions which are part of their seventh album, Thirteen.
The boys from Sidecars: Juancho (lead guitar and vocals), Gerbass (bass) and Ruly (drums), continue savoring the success who is leaving us the latest release of his new album. His fans were able to enjoy it on all platforms last September.
This pop rock band brings us revealed, a few weeks ago, all the dates of his tour where we can enjoy their new songs live and older ones that are part of the history of this group.
The band's Instagram profile has shared another of the famous videos that we have seen in which Juancho, the leader of Sidecars, reveals the story behind the song: Groundhog Day.
Many of the songs they have composed for the new album are related to the historical events we have experienced in recent years: Filomena, that one famous snowstorm, which we experienced in Spain at the beginning of 2021 and which left multiple cities covered in white, including Madrid, with a very different landscape than what they are used to. Or Passage of Terror, where the artist says that he was born as a result of the cancellation of a concert who suffered in El Puerto de Santa María.
«It's a song that I wrote feeling that We were having the same meeting weekly to try to go on tour at a time when we wanted to, but we couldn't..."…," Juancho began the video. We believe this was due to the restrictions the government imposed weeks after the quarantine was eased and experts gave us permission to slowly return to normal.
«Every week and every day was a bit like Groundhog Day…", admitted this artist, while acknowledging that the title of this song is a tribute to that film.
"I felt like we were going on tour to dust off the seats in the newly opened theater," he continued, explaining to his fans. But, at that time they bet on that tour and they managed to make people enjoy the music and the incredible live performances that this band puts on again.
