What are Reels Achievements, Instagram's new recognition for content creators?

The Reels Achievements They are the platform's way of motivating users to continue generating content and interacting on their profiles.

Through Creators, an official Instagram profile, the platform stated that the launch aims to help creators discover new tools to improve their content.

This new feature, introduced in October 2022, is designed to increase the number of videos on the platform. Instagram now enables badges to reward active user contributions. However, these badges are only visible to content creators, not their followers.

Reels achievements encourage you to try different features to reach objectives that unlock achievements. Currently, we only have 4 achievements available.

According to Creators, content creators will only be able to access these awards if their content is related to videos in Reels format.

• Collaborate with other creators through Instagram collaborations or the option of remix a reel
• Wear interactive stickers In your reel, content creators should include interactive elements like "Your Turn," polls, quizzes, or questions. They should aim to create more interactive Reels to increase audience engagement.
• Wear audios or effects that are trending In your reel, join the conversation for better results
• Publish more than one reel per week. Maintain a creative streak and you'll generate more interaction. We recommend making more than one per week.

You can unlock multiple achievements with the same reel if it meets the requirements for more than one.

As a content creator, you will be notified that you have been recognized with an Achievement. You can also view it directly. The platform has enabled a special menu to access it.

When you post a reel that unlocks an achievement, you'll see a notification at the bottom of the screen. Tap "View" to see the achievement you unlocked by posting that reel. You can also see the achievements you've earned for any reel you've posted, as well as a collection of all the achievements you've already earned. To unlock them, you'll need to follow these steps.

1. Touch  or your profile picture in the bottom right corner to go to your profile.
2. Touch  Below your profile information, tap the reel whose achievements you want to see.
3. Touch Further in the lower right part of the reel.
4. Touch AchievementsHere, you'll see all the achievements you earned with that reel. Tap View all achievements to see all the achievements you obtained.

The achievements you've earned will appear in color, and those that are still locked will appear in gray. Scroll down to see more achievements and tap one to learn more about how to unlock it. Only you can see your achievements. Instagram may continue to add new achievements to unlock.

Reels that reach milestones will appear in color, while those that have not yet reached milestones will appear in gray.
