I assure you it is worth experimenting 😉 , then…

What are Instagram reels?

Instagram Reels is a new way to create and discover short, fun videos on Instagram.

With Reels you can create fun videos to share with your friends or anyone on Instagram.

How long is a reel?

The reel lasts 15 to 30 seconds and depending on the country, in some cases it lasts up to 60 seconds.

What is the difference between this reel format?

You can record your reels in a series of clips, one at a time or all at once, or by uploading videos from your gallery.

IN ADDITION, THE REELS HAVE A VARIETY OF EDITING TOOLS THAT MAKE THEM ENTERTAINING AND FUN.

How to create reels

Select “Reels” at the bottom of the Instagram camera. You’ll see a variety of creative editing tools on the left side of the screen that will allow you to create your reel. For example:

  • Audio: Find a song in the Instagram Music Library. You can also record a reel with your own original audio. When you share a reel with original audio, that audio will be attributed to you, and if you have a public account, people will be able to create reels with it.
  • AR Effects: To record multiple clips with different effects, select an effect from our gallery, developed by Instagram and creators from all over the world.
  • Timer and countdown: Set a timer to record clips hands-free. Once you press record, you’ll see a “3-2-1” countdown before recording begins for the time you select.
  • Alignment: Line up objects from your previous clips before recording the next one. This will help you create smoother transitions between different moments, such as changing clothes or adding new friends to your reel.
  • Speed: You can speed up or slow down selected portions of video or audio so you can keep up with the flow or create slow motion videos.

Reels can be recorded in a series of clips (one at a time), all together, or with videos from your gallery. Press and hold the capture button to record the first clip. You'll see a progress indicator at the top of the screen as you record. Stop recording to finish each clip.

Where can I share my reels?

In Feed, you can share Reels with your followers, and if you have a public account, you can share them with the wider Instagram community through a new space in Explore. The Reels section of Explore gives everyone the opportunity to become a creator on Instagram and reach new audiences around the world.

Another option is to share it on your stories but this way it will not appear on your feed and after 24 hours it will be deleted}

Where do I see reels on Instagram?

The Reels section of Explore showcases the best of Instagram’s trending culture. Discover a selection of funny Reels from anyone on Instagram, in a vertical feed personalized to you. If you love a Reel, you can easily like it, comment on it, or share it with your friends.

You’ll also see some reels labeled “Featured.” If your reel is featured in the Explore section, you’ll receive a notification. Featured reels are a set of public reels chosen by an Instagram curator team to help you discover original content that we hope will entertain or inspire you.

Reels offer people new ways to express themselves and discover more content they care about on Instagram, and allow anyone to fulfill their desire to become a creator.
