Although Instagram remains the reference network in numerous areas, including fashion and beauty, Tik Tok is gaining more and more followers, primarily among young audiences. In 2021, it was actually the most downloaded app (around 656 million on Google Play).

Among them, it is obligatory to mention BeReal. This French app is ranked second among the most popular free apps on the App Store and 30th on Google Play, ahead of Netflix, Duolingo, Booking, Glovo, and Uber.
It was launched in 2020, but it wasn't until January 1, 2022, that it began to take off. Its MAUs (monthly active users) have grown by 315 % and, according to the company, its downloads total 7.67 million. However, for Lalueza, BeReal isn't as strong a competitor as TikTok has been.
“I don't think BeReal will become a future Instagram."They're different concepts, and once their novelty wears off, they'll lose their relevance," Lalueza insists. In fact, this expert emphasizes that one of the secrets to Instagram's longevity and success lies in "the number of celebrities present there, which keeps users engaged with the app because it's a way to stay informed and meet their idols," he explains.
