Creating a home where having children is one of the goals is secondary for some women, even though many do want to get married and dream of growing their family before the age of 30. Opinions are as diverse as the reasons many give for deciding, as a matter of fact, that they never want to become mothers.
Caring for children, the responsibility and attention they demand, is not among the options for a considerable number of people. Among them is Marcela Muñoz, a young woman who, while she claims not to mind children, rules out any possibility of getting pregnant.
Although the reasons for not being a surrogate mother often vary from economic factors to fear, age, and lack of "preparation," she was also subject to criticism for other reasons. The Missouri, U.S., resident said she had received a wave of rejection after expressing her thoughts on the matter.

She, who is known as a "childless millennial," says she doesn't want to have to deal with the common symptoms of pregnancy (such as nausea, fatigue, insomnia, and headaches). According to the portal Tyla'selfish' is the word that began to be defined by some users of the networks.
“Having children isn't mandatory. Whoever tells you that (…) it's not true,” Marcela says in one of her videos. “When a woman grows up, they're basically told that the ultimate goal is to become a mother. Whether you're a stay-at-home mom, a working mom, a business mom, 'one day you'll be a mother,' and if you can't have children or choose not to be a mother, then 'shame on you!'”
“We don't know your situation, we don't know your circumstances. Stop assuming that people who don't want children are selfish and that we'll change your mind. Just stop,” The influencer continued. She dedicates most of her content on platforms like Instagram to reiterating her intention not to get pregnant and discussing the things that, in her opinion, could lead to a real headache.
“If I had found someone like me when I was Googling what to do and sharing facts, I would have been so relieved, that’s why I want to create relatable content for people who might be in the same position,” the woman said, as reported by Tyla.

Several internet users responded to her questions, but others also supported her position. “People without children seem to be happier overall. I'm grateful every day that my husband and I chose not to have any,” “That's the baby boomer mentality… After World War II ended, the main goal was to have as many children as possible…”
This point also extends to men; in fact, the case of a Mexican man recently emerged who underwent a vasectomy because he felt he wasn't mentally, physically, or financially ready to be a father.
In his experience, he described the process step by step from the moment he entered the medical center until the completion of the procedure, which internet users described as a "responsible" decision. Armando Barrón, 26, mentioned that as time goes by, difficulties can increase (in some homes) when it comes to providing a life with dignity.

“The years go by and the situation for obtaining assets becomes increasingly complicated. It is increasingly difficult to obtain a house, a car, and even make ends meet with extra money to save."Because just making ends meet is not acceptable at all," he said.
When asked if he would like to become a father in the future, Barrón responded that he wouldn't think twice about adopting because there are many children still waiting for a family that will provide them with love and protection.
