The truth is that Nick Carter's public farewell to his little brother has surprised the singer's followers, because as he himself reflects in his post, "my brother and I have had a complicated relationship." It is true that, after all, family is always there in good times and bad despite other circumstances that may occur and that has been the case with the Carter family.
The words of the Backstreet Boys singer are full of love and understanding in the face of his brother's relationship with mental health and drug addiction. Thus, he says that he always had the hope that his brother will treat his addictions and 'he will find the help he so desperately needed'. In the same way, the text ends with a message of encouragement: “Now you can have the peace you could never find here on earth.”
Nick Carter has said goodbye to his brother Aaron ten years after he did so with his younger sister, Leslie Carter. The news had already shaken the family when, at the age of 25, the singer's sister was found dead after struggling with mental health problems and addictions (just like her brother, Nick). Thus, on January 31, 2012, Nick's younger sister died from a drug overdose after having faced a difficult relationship with depression.
The family became famous thanks to their participation in a show called 'The Carters' House', which featured Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter and his four siblings, including Aaron and Leslie. The series ran for one season and told the family's story in eight episodes before ending in 2006, the same year it was released.
At the beginning of the farewell message, Nick refers to the relationship he had with his brother Aaron which worsened in 2019. The member of the Backstreet Boys decided to put a restraining order against his little brother -who was joined by her sister Angel- since he confessed that He intended to kill Nick Carter's wife, who was pregnant at the time. “We had no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family,” Nick Carter wrote on his Twitter account in 2019.
Despite their differences, Nick wanted to say goodbye with this emotional message:
“My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a rocky relationship, my love for him has never faded. I have always held on to the hope that somehow, someday, he will want to walk a healthy path and finally find the help he so desperately needed. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real villains here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth… God, please take care of my little brother.”

Panama City, Nov 7 (EFE) .- More than 2,500 tourists arrived at the new cruise port in Panama City on Monday aboard the Viking Star and Norwegian Encore ships, in the first operation of the 2022-2023 cruise season with two vessels arriving simultaneously, the maritime governing body noted. "It is the first operation of the 2022-2023 season at the Panama Cruise Terminal with two vessels arriving simultaneously," Jonathan Guerini, acting director of ports for the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), told reporters. Guerini noted that "work at the Cruise Terminal is 91% complete," with the "maritime area 100% complete" built. He explained that the Panama Cruise Terminal will be ready with all its facilities and buildings on land between the second half of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, "since the maritime facilities, dock, access channel, maneuvering basins are at 100 %." The terminal, also known as the Amador Cruise Port, will have the capacity to receive more than 5,000 passengers, allowing, as happened this Monday, the docking of two cruise ships simultaneously. The estimated cost of this port work amounts to 200 million dollars, according to official information. The Viking Star arrived with a Home Port reservation and the Norwegian Encore with a transit operation (Port Of Call). The Home Port reservations are those in which there is a rotation/change of passengers, boarding and disembarking, while in transit the passengers disembark to go on tours, excursions and/or purchases and return to the cruise ship. The Norwegian Encore, operated by Norwegian Cruise Line, has 2,500 passengers in transit, while the Viking Star, operated by Swiss firm Viking Ocean Cruises, "is disembarking approximately 890 and embarking 650" tourists, according to Guerini. Each passenger in transit, he estimated, "represents an estimated 100 dollars (of income) to the economy, and a passenger in home port 350 dollars." The Viking Star passengers went on tours and excursions in the city of Colon (Caribbean) on November 5. The AMP has 256 cruise reservations to date that will be operating in the different port terminals of the country. Guerini indicated that in the Panama Cruise Terminal, at the entrance on the Pacific side of the interoceanic canal, "specifically we are expecting 52 cruises, 30 of them in transit and 22 in home port operation," with an approximate total of 75,000 passengers. On October 29, with the arrival of the World Navigator cruise ship from the Mystic Cruises shipping company, the beginning of the 2022-2023 cruise season was marked at the Panama Cruise Terminal, which runs between the months of October and May of each year. THE EXCITEMENT OF A TOURIST For former Puerto Rican soldier Antonio Ramos, the most exciting and satisfying thing about his visit to Panama has been his contact with the country's gastronomy and the friendly and helpful treatment of its people, as well as the new profile of the capital with new buildings and its Metro, the only one in Central America. Ramos, 75 years old, was stationed with the US Army in Panama 25 years ago, until 1997, as he told EFE. "It's amazing to see the change" in the country, Ramos said, and confessed that what he liked most "as always is the people of Panama, they are very friendly, helpful, that hasn't changed," and its food "magnificent, the sea bass ceviche with patacones." "I'm very happy, Panama continues to be a friendly country, that people come to visit it," Ramos remarked. (c) Agencia EFE
