A new Peruvian comedy premieres worldwide on the streaming platform Prime Video. This is the movie 'I'm looking for a girlfriend', by director Daniel Vega.
The film stars César Ritter. In addition, it has the participation of Peruvian actors Magdyel Ugaz, Gustavo Bueno and Fiorella Pennano. The Mexican interpreter Vadhir Dérbez, son of the prominent international actor Eugenio Dérbez, will also be involved in the film production.
Through its social networks, the production company Tondero shared the trailer for 'I'm looking for a girlfriend, receiving very good feedback from users.
As you may recall, this film is based on the book and blog of the newspaper 'El Comercio', both called “Busco Novia” (I'm looking for a girlfriend), written by Renato Cisneros.
It will tell the story of Renzo Collazos (César Ritter), a thirty-something single man, frustrated journalist and writer, in love with love, who still lives with his mother. One day, the editor of the newspaper where he works orders him to write a blog about his failing love life. Unwittingly, the blog "Busco Novia" (I'm Looking for a Girlfriend) begins to become a success, also bringing about a change in his life.
His Robot friends (Vadhir Derbez) and Lucia (Magdyel Ugaz) witness how fame turns Renzo into a selfish and vain man, who ends up sabotaging his few 'good' relationships. When Mariana (Fiorella Pennano) the relationship they had ends, Renzo's world falls apart, forcing him to turn his life around.
This film began filming in February 2019 and was scheduled to be released in national theaters in May 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release was not possible. After two years, the film will be available worldwide and in several languages.
'Looking for a Girlfriend' It also features the acting participation of Grapa Paola, Daniela Camaiora, Denisse Dibós, Ximena Palomino, Carolina Cano, Daniela Feijoo, Priscila Espinoza, Malory Vargas, Renato Bonifaz, Francisco Cabrera, among others.
César Ritter He posted a short message on his Instagram account celebrating the film's premiere, which will take place this weekend on a digital platform. “I'm finally looking for a girlfriend! is coming out this November 18th on Prime Video. How wonderful!” he wrote on his social network.
For his part, Magdyel Ugaz She shared the film's trailer and official poster on her stories. "It's finally coming to Prime Video," she added in the post's description.
Fiorella Pennano She also seemed quite excited that the production she worked on would be shown worldwide. "Yeeh," she posted alongside the film's trailer on her Instagram stories.
This film joins other Tondero productions that are on different platforms, such as 'Just like me' which can be seen on Televisa's Vix+. In addition to 'Until we meet again,' 'Scoveted old lady', 'The Great Lion', 'Love Matter 2', 'Asu Mare 2' and 'Av. Larco', that are found in Netflix.
