Preview: Last Edition, the latest Volkswagen Gol – Mega Autos

Saturday, November 5, 2022
Volkswagen is moving forward with the Gol Last Edition, as unofficially anticipated in Brazil, where it's produced. It would be a limited series to celebrate the farewell of the B-segment hatchback in that market.
The commemorative series features exterior customization with the familiar red bodywork, paired with black for the roof, mirrors, and door handles.
The dark color extends to the alloy wheels, the appliqué located at the bottom of the front and rear doors, and the stripe across the tailgate. The new Gol is easily recognizable.

The configuration chosen for the Last Edition could also include updates to the interior, while the equipment would also be different from the current model range in the Brazilian market.
The engine is also unknown, though it should include a naturally aspirated 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers 77 hp on gasoline and 84 hp on ethanol, along with a five-speed manual transmission. This is a combination unknown in Argentina.
Heading to the brand's dealerships, the uncovered units anticipate the launch in the neighboring country, from where it was initially marketed in Argentina until it was discontinued due to the absence of stability control (mandatory since 2022).
