Kristina Lilley began her cancer journey and attended her first chemotherapy – Semana Magazine

Kristina Lilley, remembered for her role as Gabriela Acevedo in Passion of the Hawks, surprised all of her followers by confirming that she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
Through his personal Instagram account, lThe Colombian-American artist posted a heartfelt video and noted that he once again has to face this difficult illness. He also shared an emotional message.
“My awakening is to tell you my story. Difficult moments that are gradually being overcome. Thank you for listening,” he initially wrote to accompany the recording, which quickly went viral.
The renowned actress also took advantage of the moment to reveal that she had undergone a double mastectomy. She also pointed out that she is currently doing quite well.
“Two months ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer again. Quickly, I had all the tests, the appointment with the surgeon, they performed a double mastectomy on me and now I need the appointment with the oncologist," he added.
Then, The Colombian-American artist said: “I'm fine, I'm quite calm. I'm not going to read comments, I'm not going to answer opinions, nothing. I just wanted to tell you.”
This Friday, January 13, she reappeared on her Instagram account to talk to her more than 500 thousand followers about her process and how she feels about starting chemotherapy. The actress's fans noticed that she had decided to change her look and it looks quite different.
One of the reasons I cut my hair is that I'm starting chemotherapy today..I am in my first session, anxious, obviously a little scared, and well, waiting to see what happens.”
The actress took the opportunity to thank all the people who have been watching over her health and who have sent her messages of support and strength in this difficult time.

It is worth remembering that the renowned actress was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2010, which she successfully overcame with a three-year treatment. However, months later she confirmed for the first time that she had breast cancer, which she also beat thanks to early detection.
“As women we have the commitment to have a cytology every year, but Our partners also have the responsibility to participate in this process, to be aware of whether we have already taken the test or not and to accompany us if necessary," Kristina Lilley said at the time.
Following this surprising announcement, the artist received messages of support from some of the national entertainment personalities. One was Danna García.
The Antioquian, who was one of her co-stars in Passion of the Hawks, dedicated a heartfelt message to the Colombian-American and assured that he is delighted to know that she is well.
“Kris, I hug you from a distance. I wanted to tell you that I love seeing you wake up. I send you lots of love and hugs, kisses to the girls."García wrote to the experienced actress in the post, which quickly went viral on social media.
Another of Kris' friends and colleagues is Natasha Klauss, who has also been following her friend's progress and comments on her posts. “Here we are ❤️,” she wrote on Friday.
Mario Cimarro also participated in the successful soap opera and sent a message of strength to his co-star.
The Colombian-American also shared a brief reflection with all the women who follow her so that they understand the importance of self-examining and taking care of themselves with respect to this serious disease.
