Instagram is running out of ideas, and in addition to copying TikTok, has also decided to do so with the apps created to try to stop the Meta platform. BeReal, which promises to expose each person's reality on the internet, is one of them. How does it do this? By taking photos using the front and rear cameras simultaneously. That way, you can't hide anything, even if you want to.
BeReal also encourages you to take the photo in just a couple of minutes, and at random times of the day. That is, You don't have hours to plan, pose and study your surroundings well., and you never know when you'll be able to take the next photo. It's just you, just as you see yourself at any given moment of the day.
In an apparent attempt to copy the popular app BeReal, Instagram is rolling out its own feature (called 'Dual') to take disappearing photos using the front and back cameras simultaneously

If you weren't familiar with this app, it's become the new social network for Generation Z. During the week of July 11, it reported 1.7 million installs. In fact, if you visit the iOS App Store, you'll find it at the top of the Top Free Apps list, while Instagram sits in sixth place.
Now, Instagram has decided to copy this essential feature from BeReal. However, it's not doing so to encourage its users to be "more real." No, it seems that's not the idea behind it, or at least not at the moment.
In the case of Meta's social network, the integration comes under the name Dual. Just open the Instagram app on your phone and try opening its camera. Under the tools panel on the left of the screen, you will see a new feature with that name.

When you activate it, Instagram will display exactly the same interface as BeReal, showing a small photo of your face in the top corner, and what your rear camera is seeing in the larger area. The views are reversible, of course, and you can have your face fill the entire screen and your surroundings only shown in a small frame.
However, unlike BeReal, you can use this feature at any time. Fortunately for the growing social network, Instagram doesn't encourage its users to take photos at random times, and within a window of just two minutes. This is a feature that you can simply show two things at the same time.
If you don't see this feature yet, wait a moment. Although Instagram rolls out these options to all users, some may experience a delay.
