Instagram: Music has arrived in direct messages – Infobae

Instagram has added a new feature: you can now add music to your direct messages. This tool has been launched globally, so everyone can use it. Please note that you'll need to update the app to receive this option.
If you've downloaded the latest version of the service and still can't see this tool, you'll have to wait a few more days, as this is a global rollout, and there may be some delays before it reaches everyone.
“Now, people will be able to send their favorite songs to whoever they want through an Instagram direct message (DM), whether it's calling their friends to watch the hit of the moment or even sending that “indirect message” to their crush, among other possibilities..
Those who receive a song via DM will be able to play a 30-second preview within their inbox, through Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Spotify (coming soon), avoiding having to leave Instagram and navigate between music streaming apps,” the company highlighted in the statement released.
As you can see, this option involves integration with other platforms. It's a new alternative to foster a richer connection in the virtual environment, as well as to help promote music from different artists.
How it works
1. Copy the URL of a song from Apple Music, Amazon Music and Spotify (the latter service will be added soon)
2. Open any Instagram chat, Paste the link and tap “Send”
3. The link will create a player with the album/song cover art, in addition to the song name and artist information
4. Anyone in the conversation can tap the “play” icon directly in the direct message to hear a 30-second snippet of the song
The goal is not only to enrich the conversation between users, but also to collaborate with musical artists who use this app to connect with their audiences.
Other new features that have been launched recently on Instagram
1. The ability to reply while browsing the feed
Users can reply to a new direct message while browsing their feed, without having to open their inbox.
2. Fast shipping
By long-pressing the “share” option on posts, users can forward the content to their four closest friends.
3. See who's online
At the top of your Inbox, you can see who's available to chat, making it easier to connect with people online.
4. Send messages without triggering recipient notifications
This allows you to send private messages without the recipient receiving notifications. With this tool, you can send content without triggering a notification on the recipient's phone. To use this trick, simply add @silence to the text.
5, Choose the chat background
This option allows you to add different themes to your conversations to personalize them. To use this tool, simply click on the top left corner of the chat, open the options menu, and select Theme. Doing so will access several templates.
6. Conduct polls in conversations
It's possible to add polls to group chats. To do this, simply add the sticker created for this purpose. Click on the conversation footer and select the poll sticker from the list of options. This sticker can be customized with a question and the desired options. The results will be displayed as users vote. This feature has been available for quite some time in Instagram Stories.
