A new year is approaching and the world's leading social network is getting a makeover. Mark Zuckerberg prepares new updates for Instagram in 2023. For several years, the Meta platform has been incorporating features that resemble those of other applications. The idea is to bring together everything users are looking to use in a single social network.
After launching the stories to compete with Snapchat and the Reels to overcome Tik Tok. Instagram adds two features to fight for the audience Twitter and BeReal.
The Meta platform will add next year a function for microblogging, Twitter-style, and another for unfiltered photos, like BeReal.
The "Notes" feature is now available for some users as a trial and will allow them to publish text messages of no more than 60 characters including letters and emojis.These “Notes” will be displayed above each user’s round profile photo.
Messages will only be seen by users who follow each other, or who are on the “best friends” list.
On the other hand, this “Candid,” a new feature that competes with “BeReal” and will allow Instagram users to share their most “real” photos. Without the ability to schedule posts or apply filters. Additionally, it will allow simultaneous dual capture from the front and rear cameras of the phone.

To access the templates, you'll need to see a highlight in your feed and create your own summary.
They also appear in the Reel Templates search engine and can be accessed from each celebrity's profile.
