Add music to Instagram videos and photos
Unlike Stories or Reels, copyright and music licensing issues prevent there from being a native feature that allows you to officially add music to regular Instagram posts.

Adding music to Instagram reels
Considering that Instagram Reels are considered the equivalent of TikTok's music videos, adding music is almost a must. Given this, the process within the platform is quite intuitive.
Once on the home page, the first step is to click on the plus sign at the top, then open the music icon and choose the song you want to add to the Reel, making sure to specify the exact 15-second fragment, and finally, record the content as usual.
