With the app conveniently updated, you must follow these steps to activate these new features:
-Access to the private messages section.
-Pressr on the user's chat.
-Press on the camera icon at the top of the screen.
-Start the video call.
-When it starts, click on “Multimedia content” at the bottom of the screen.
-Select the “TV Shows & Movies” section, represented by a TV-shaped icon.
-Press about “Update messaging feature”.
-Confirm.
This will update the app with the new options added to direct messages, but you will have to close the app first and reopen it for the changes to take effect. From that moment on, the Instagram direct message icon will change to the Messenger icon, although It could take several hours until the update is complete.
