These and other data, which provide a snapshot of digital activism in Colombia during 2022, were recently released by the international organization Change.org, on the occasion of its tenth anniversary in Latin America. The figures are the result of analyzing and cross-referencing information from its platform's own insights and surveys of more than 3.5 million people who are frequent users of social media and the internet.

People of all political parties, opinions, and ideologies used virtual channels, not only seeking concrete actions from their candidates or the country's electoral system, but also to question or argue their different positions, thus making digital activism one of the best tools for citizen participation in public debate,” said Diana Durán, director of Change.org Colombia.
