Dayana Jaimes files a public complaint / Instagram: @dayanajaimes55
The communicator Dayana Jaimes, widow of the singer Martin Elias, was very upset and reported the damage done to the artist's grave.
Through his stories on his account Instagram, where he has more than two million followers, shared images of how the singer's grave was damaged just for a photo opportunity.
He explained that while he doesn't usually report complaints on his social media accounts, this is a situation that has gotten out of control, as this isn't the first time he's found the artist's grave damaged.
He indicated that people often steal flowers, stones, or sit or lean on the grave to take a photo, causing damage.
Annoyed, she confessed that she will reconsider the way the singer's grave is left, as she is tired of the lack of culture among people who disrespect a sacred place like the cemetery.
He explained that he knows people's goal is to take a photo and have the singer's picture seen, which he put on the grave because he thought it was very pretty, but since they don't respect it, he'll choose to fix the grave, but leave it without a photo.
He recalled what happened to the grave of fellow singer Kaleth Morales, where his father chose not to fix it anymore because it was constantly being damaged.
"If I leave Martin's grave like this, they say I forgot about him, that the grave is abandoned, that I'm whistling, that I'm playing along, and if I send it to be fixed, the same thing could happen and no one will come out to pay for the grave, because people do the damage and then leave." he pointed out.
He sincerely asked tourists and locals to please be careful with the grave of him and his father, the vallenato singer. Diomedes Díaz, reiterating that it is a sacred place, that they understand and respect these places and their memory.
