Balenciaga is making headlines again; it deletes all its Instagram posts – El Universal

Recently the brand Balenciaga They launched some accessories such as rings, necklaces and bags, but what was the problem? They used the image of girls to promote a collection that was not so innocent.
For this reason, users in social networks They strongly attacked the brand, some even realizing that it was not the first time that the luxury firm made reference to the sexualization of children, since a document was leaked that talked about child pornography in one of the photos for the Spring 23 camp advertisement.

});
});

The brand's response was to apologize for the campaign and remove the photos, and also assured that they would take legal action against the authors of the advertising. Spring Camp 23 and this last one.

According to articles specialized in marketing, there is a strategy known as Word of Mouth or, translated into Spanish, Word of Mouth Marketing which consists of a brand getting, as its name suggests, people to talk about its service or product, thereby spreading information and achieving “free” advertising.

googletag.cmd.push(function() {
googletag.display(“div-gpt-ad-8896524-2”);
// console.log(“div-gpt-ad-8896524-2 Invoked”);
});
});

Word of Mouth advertising leads to another strategy known as the “snowball effect”, what happens when people talk about a topic and share their experiences and thoughts.
Similarly, an article published by FashionUnited magazine says that this is not the first time that Balenciaga has removed all of its content so that Internet users can learn about its products. In September of last year, the luxury brand removed all of its content from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

});
});

When a brand or artist deletes all of their social media content or suddenly disappears from it, it's usually due to a change in designer or social media director, according to FashionUnited.
Such is the case of the Italian fashion house, Bottega Veneta. When creative director Daniel Lee cut all of his accounts to prioritize word-of-mouth strategy and focus on his own digital magazines and exclusive brand events.
Another case is that of the French luxury leather goods brand, Celine with Hedi Slimane. Likewise, artists such as Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, among others, have deleted their social media accounts completely or partially only to appear in the media and create buzz.
