It's been almost a month since Amaia Montero last posted on her Instagram account, which sparked concern among her followers. In a black and white photograph, she appears disheveled, without makeup, and with a visibly deteriorating appearance.
The image is accompanied by a message left as a comment: "If hope is the last thing to die and I haven't lost it yet, what good is life to me?"?”.

In the following post, the former vocalist of La oreja de Van Gogh shared an excerpt from 'The wolf's mouth, song released in 2018, whose lyrics assume that Montero would be going through a difficult situation.
Since then, her fans remain concerned about the singer's physical and mental health. While they wait for signs of life, the outpourings of affection and support on her social media have not ceased.

Days after the disconcerting message that set off media alarms, her sister Idoia Montero, who is very close to the artist, spoke to the Spanish program Espejo Público, which airs on Antena 3, confessing that the celebrity is not going through her best moment and that it is not up to her to give any details about it.
"It's only her place to say something, if she has or wants to say anything. It's still her private life." clarified, and also specified that the singer of Muñeca de trapo is "Very sensitive, and he hasn't had a good time at times. Not only because of the criticism on social media and his physical appearance, but also because of his father's death."
Her sister, who made it clear that she is not her manager, said the singer herself will tell her audience what happened to her. She denied that Amaia was missing, as some media outlets have claimed, but instead took the opportunity to clarify that she was at home with family members.

Idoia said that Amaia's protest has nothing to do with a campaign to promote her new solo album.
With this new album, the Spanish artist could celebrate her 25-year career, as she said weeks ago before her health was called into question: “I’m coming back, I’ll give it my all as always.”
