How do the new Messenger Rooms work?
Messenger Rooms -either Messenger rooms— is a new modality that allows the interaction between people through video calls, either from the web or mobile version —for iOS and Android— of Facebook or directly from the messaging application Messenger. To connect with your friends or family, just create a chat room and share its link with these users, but other people will also be able to join the rooms depending on their settings. It is worth mentioning that participants will not need to download, log in or connect to Messenger to join a call.
Privacy settings include:

- The creator of the room can remove unwanted participants.
- Any participant can abandon the room if you feel uncomfortable.
- Participants can report the name of the room If you believe that it violates the Facebook Community Standards. Please note that reports will not include audio or video from the room.
- If you have blocked someone on Facebook or Messenger, will not be able to join a room you created, and you will not be able to join theirs if you are logged in to your Facebook or Messenger account.
- Only invitation link exchange is allowed if it is compatible with the other configurations of the web or mobile version of Facebook or Messenger.
When you use the Messenger Rooms Invitation Links, You should know that:
- The person who sent the invitation link must be available in the room for people to come together.
- Only the person who created the room can end it, block it, or remove any of the participants.
