These new features are added to those of previous operating systems or improve the user experience when accessing them.
This functionality aims to copy, store in the clipboard and paste, as well as share with other devices, an object that is in a photograph by means of a “smart clipping” incorporated into the system iOS 16.
Users will simply need to long-press the object in the photo, and the system will automatically "crop" it almost instantly. Without releasing the object, users can drag it across different apps and then paste it into the desired one. This could be in a text message, WhatsApp, a note, separate it as a separate image without a background, etc.
This makes it possible to create new photos of objects without including the background. This feature can also be used in videos if the object you want to highlight appears attractively in a frame. You just need to pause the video to use this feature.
User productivity is also an aspect that has been given importance in the new iOS 16 system with the new focus mode, a function that allows the creation of different profiles that modify notifications and prioritizes, based on the profile activated during a given time of day, which applications to pay attention to.
However, this is not only limited to the notifications, but it involves changes to the entire iPhone system, from a modification of the lock screen to show that the mode has been changed, programming changes between focus profiles (do not disturb, work, gaming, etc.), content filters in the browser, among other important features.
To access the focus mode settings, you must enter the application Configuration and look for the Focus option. Once in this section, the user can modify the profile's lock screen background, which apps and contacts can display notifications. This also affects platforms like WhatsApp.
Transitions between profiles can be done from the device's lock screen by long pressing and then pressing the button. Approach
Regarding the security of the information stored on devices, Apple has developed a setting that will allow it to be improved if required through an automatic update, but without the need to download a new version of iOS 16.
The option, called Security Responses & System Files, states that it "automatically installs quick security responses for iPhone and compatible accessories." This allows you to automatically fix any vulnerabilities or bugs within the iOS 16 system, although a restart of the phone will be required.
While this feature is turned on by default in iOS 16, users can choose not to activate it, although, as indicated on the screen, Apple may still download some files automatically even if it is not activated.
To access this function, you must enter the menu Configuration, click the General option, then click Automatic. The aforementioned feature will be located at the bottom of the list, after Download iOS Updates and Install iOS Updates.
The device's system search engine, Spotlight, has also been improved with iOS 16, as users will be able to browse not only messages, notes, or files when searching on their iPhone, but also find images that contain the word or phrase they are searching for.
According to Apple's official website, this search feature is only available for devices with an A12 Bionic chip or higher; therefore, it will be present on iPhone X, XS, XS Max, and XR models and later. It will also be able to identify phone numbers, for which it will enable a quick call function; in addition to languages such as English, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Ukrainian.
This feature will be useful for people who store photos of documents, payment receipts, phone numbers, etc.
