Instagram is no longer just an app for sharing your photos and videos. It's now a place to chat with your customers, and we're pretty sure that, as an Instagram brand account, you get tons of likes and dislikes. Instagram direct messages Every day. Sending mass DMs on Instagram can be a great strategy, but the long chat list can make you regret converting followers into customers.
Are you looking for an easy way to delete all your Instagram direct messages at once? If so, our quick guide will be helpful. In this article, we'll discuss how to bulk delete all Instagram messages and other related queries.
If you're looking for a way to delete all your Instagram direct messages at once, the first question that might arise is whether there's a way to do it on a personal account. We regret to inform you that this feature is only available on business accounts.
From a business perspective, this limitation makes sense. Those of us who use Instagram for personal reasons rarely need to use the bulk delete feature, so Instagram doesn't consider it necessary for users with personal accounts to have this functionality.
Well, if you have a business account, you're in luck! Instagram allows you to select as many chats as you want and delete them all at once from your business account. To learn how to delete all Instagram messages, follow the steps below!
Step 1: Enter your Instagram app from your mobile device and log in to your account.
Step 2: The first tab visible in the application is the Home tab, which displays a Home icon in a column pinned to the bottom of the screen.
If you look closely at the top of the screen, you'll see a message icon in the upper right corner. To go to the Instagram direct messages tab, tap this message icon.
Step 3: Once you are in the Instagram direct messages tab, you will be able to see how this section is divided into three categories: Main, General and Requests.
The first step you need to take is to choose the section from which you want to delete all direct messages. Once you've made your decision, tap that category to display your chat list.
Step 4: In this section, you'll also find two icons in the upper right corner of this tab: the first is the list icon, which you can easily identify, and the second is used when you need to compose a new message. In this case, we'll select the list icon.
Step 5: Immediately after selecting the list icon, you'll notice that small circles appear next to each conversation in the list in this section.
Step 6: When you select one of these small circles, you will notice that it turns blue and displays a white check mark inside and the marked chat will be selected.
Before choosing all the messages you want to delete immediately, you should keep in mind that you can also perform other actions with these conversations besides deleting them. The options the app gives you include muting selected chats or marking them as unread.
Step 7: In the next step, we'll delete all the Instagram direct messages you've received, but first, you should check all the circles. Immediately afterward, at the bottom of the screen, you'll see a red button that allows you to delete all DMs.
Step 8: Finally, when you click the Delete button, a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm your decision. If you choose to delete all of your Instagram direct messages, all of the selected messages will be automatically removed from your direct messages tab.
Another point to keep in mind is that you can only remove selected messages from a category at a time within the Instagram direct messages tab. So, if you successfully deleted all messages from the Primary section, simply repeat the steps mentioned above for the General and Requests sections, and your DM will be cleared.
Unfortunately, as a personal Instagram account holder, like other users, I don't have access to the ability to select multiple direct messages at once. However, Instagram plans to roll this feature out to all users (personal and business accounts) in the future. When this happens, we at Tecneofito will inform our readers about these changes.
We recently talked about the upcoming features Instagram plans to release in 2022, which promise to be very useful for creators and business pages. Well, Instagram keeps proving us right by providing new features! One of them is Vanish Mode. It's a relatively new feature that first came out in 2021 and is now available to those with an Instagram business profile.
With vanish mode, you don't need to worry about how to remove the Instagram messages Because it allows you to send disappearing direct messages. That is, when you activate Vanishing Mode, you can send images, videos, and messages that will automatically disappear when you leave the chat. Plus, if you take a screenshot, the other person can see it too!
Finally, we've reached the final part of our article. We hope you've successfully deleted all direct messages on Instagram from your business account. While this social media platform only enables this feature for users who choose to open a business account, there are ways to bulk delete all direct messages on personal accounts using third-party apps.
