Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have started the year in Saudi Arabia, their new home following the Portuguese player's move to Al Nassr. The couple has moved with their children, Cristiano Jr., twins Mateo and Eva, Alana Martina, and little Bella Esmeralda.
“We are so excited about this new adventure. I'm so grateful to see you, Cristiano, so excited, walking hand in hand in the same direction toward a bright future. Always together with our beautiful family,” Georgina wrote on social media a few days after her arrival in the city.
Rodríguez has always prioritized family unity and the common good over any work as an influencer or content creator for other brands. She showcases the time she dedicates to her children on social media, an exposure that has earned her much criticism.
One of the latest controversies stemmed from the posting of a photo on her Instagram account showing one of her sons, five-year-old Mateo, kissing his little sister. In the image, the boy is sporting a diamond stud in one of his ears—the same one as his father Cristiano Ronaldo—a fact that sparked debate since the boy hadn't been given the option to choose whether or not to wear earrings.

The debate went further, and all those who criticized the fact that boys cannot choose were questioned about why this debate does not extend to the female gender, since girls are not given the power to choose either.
Rodríguez didn't make any statements regarding the matter to settle the debate. However, on Sunday, January 15, she took advantage of her family day to post a photo on Instagram Stories with the youngest daughter of the family, Bella Esmeralda, in which she poses smiling while her little girl looks to the side and reveals her earring, the same diamond that had sparked so much debate with her brother Mateo.

With this, and without the need to make explicit comments, Rodríguez has confirmed that she ignores her followers' comments and that her children's appearance is her own business.
