In recent months, the different social networks of Goal suffered a massive wave of hacks and scams through fake profilesOne of the most affected was Instagram and this had an impact on its users.
In this context, the app run by Mark Zuckerbergenabled a new tool to facilitate the recovery of the accounts to which access has been lost for some reason. In addition, the company plans to incorporate this year more security measures to protect its users' data.
The application of Goal launched a new tool for when a user loses their account. It is Instagram Hacked, a platform for help recover accounts when there is no access to them for different reasons.
People will be able to go to the website instagram.com/hacked to officially report access problems and find solutions. “If there are several accounts associated with an email You can choose where you need assistance (…) Select what is the problem and follow the steps that are indicated to recover the account,” states the launch statement published by Instagram.
“We are testing the sending warnings In case a suspicious account is trying to impersonate another person or company and sends you a request to follow you on Instagram,” the platform communicated.
The social network of Goal seeks to incorporate into its system secure account recovery methods and that users are not vulnerable as soon as possible cyberattacks with those who may lose access to them. Therefore, this year it will activate the sending warnings In case a suspicious account wants to communicate via direct message with another user of the social network. This tool is designed to Avoid scams with “business” accounts.
