From now on, all your Instagram videos (under 15 minutes) will be Reels – Marketing 4 eCommerce

Instagram is in a battle to regain the throne that has been gradually taken away from it. TikTokIt's been two years since Instagram launched Reels, its short-form video format that seeks to imitate the Chinese social network and has gradually gained relevance to the point of displacing other important sections of the app such as stories and even photos.
Meta's plans now are to bring the Reels to the next level, so starting in the next few weeks, all videos with a duration of less than 15 minutes that are shared on the platform will be automatically converted as reels, as announced by the company in his website.
This change of format will not apply to videos that have been published previously to the ad and they will continue to appear as normal videos.
From Meta they have explained that the videos from public accounts of Instagram can be recommended to more people, if they're less than 90 seconds long, even if you don't follow the original creator. For private accounts, Reels will only be visible to followers, just like always.
In addition, with this new feature the Reels from public accounts can be used by any user to make remixes, collaborations or duets. For their part, the Video and Reels tabs will be merged to move the content to the same space.

Another important announcement that the social network has made is the integration of new creation and editing tools, which will allow Reels users to create and share their videos more easily.
Thus, the Reels editor arms himself with three new options:
Of course, this remix option may not be to everyone's liking, so Instagram has added a new privacy option. So, by default, if your account is public, all your videos can be included in the remix, but there's an option to disable that option, and you can also allow remixing to other feeds without explicit permission. You can disable these options for each video individually.

Beyond these new tools, Instagram wants to boost the creation of Reels. The social network has also focused on updating its templates, so you'll just need to choose the model you prefer and add your own photos and videos.

And finally, it is now possible to activate the front and rear camera to record simultaneously, so you can record the content and your reaction at the same time.
