Xiaomi has just unveiled its heavy artillery for the remainder of the year. The Chinese company has put its new Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro, being the second one of the first mobile phones in the world to feature a 200-megapixel camera. It's the first in Xiaomi's catalog, yes, but worldwide. Motorola took the lead.
Both devices are very similar to each other, although the standard model relies on MediaTek and the second on Qualcomm. Not to mention the clear difference in photography, since the 200 megapixels are exclusive to the Pro model. That said, let's get to know them a little better.

With an elegant and simple design, the device offers a rear finish with an anti-glare coating that highlights the camera module, located in the upper left corner and where the enormous upper lens stands out.
On the front we find a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution, 120Hz four-point adaptive refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, HDR10+, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device also features SGS Low Visual Fatigue certification. The front camera is hidden in a perforated hole in the panel itself. It's a display that, at least on paper, doesn't look bad.
Under the hood we find the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the latest from Qualcomm, along with eight or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Well served by power. The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and 120W fast charging. According to Xiaomi, fully charges in 19 minutes. All of this from life to Android 12 with MIUI 13.
And so we come to the camera, which is, without a doubt, the most interesting point. The Xiaomi 12T Pro mounts the Samsung ISOCELL HP1, Samsung's 200-megapixel sensor. It's a large sensor, features a two-times zoom for portraits, and uses pixel-binning technology to combine 16 pixels into one, creating a 2.56-micron macro pixel.
In addition to supporting OIS (optical image stabilization), the terminal uses AI algorithms to focus better and faster on subjects, even in motion. It is worth noting that it is capable of record in 8K in full resolution and features technologies such as Xiaomi ProCut and UltraBurst, which allow you to intelligently crop content.
This sensor is not alone, but is accompanied by an eight-megapixel wide-angle lens and a two-megapixel macro lens.
