It seems that even\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/es.digitaltrends.com\/sociales\/peiter-mudge-zatko-twitter-acusa-mentiras-informes-bots-spam\/\"><strong>Twitter<\/strong><\/a> could not resist copying <a href=\"https:\/\/es.digitaltrends.com\/sociales\/tiktokers-mas-populares\/\"><strong>TikTok<\/strong><\/a>Twitter\u2019s latest feature announcement seems to be another indication that the viral video app sensation is clearly the new leader among its peers. After all, TikTok is setting trends and its competitors are following suit.<br \/>On Thursday,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.twitter.com\/en_us\/topics\/product\/2022\/new-video-products-make-easier-watch-what-happening-twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter announced two new video-focused features<\/a>\u00a0for its app, and one of those features bears a strong resemblance to TikTok. That feature (known as the \u201cimmersive media viewer\u201d) allows users to open videos in a vertical \u201cfull-screen mode,\u201d just like TikTok, and continue watching more videos by swiping up (also like TikTok).<br \/>Twitter\u2019s blog post announcement said the immersive media viewer feature is expected to be \u201cavailable in the coming days\u201d to Twitter for iOS users who use Twitter in English.<br \/>The second new video-focused feature Twitter announced is a new video carousel that can be found in the Explore tab. Basically, it\u2019s a section called \u201cVideos for you\u201d that shows a number of popular videos you might want to watch. This feature is now available to \u201cpeople in select countries who use Twitter in English on iOS and Android.\u201d<br \/>Twitter isn\u2019t the first social media platform to copy TikTok. Instagram is well known for trying to do so, only to be met with a huge backlash. Facebook has also tried to catch up to TikTok\u2019s success with its own take on video content, Facebook Reels. And YouTube is trying its best to get its creators to start making their short-form video content for YouTube with its own version of TikTok videos called Shorts.<br \/>You&#039;d think Twitter would learn from Instagram&#039;s mistakes.
