And, as it is recorded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/1\/4\/23538750\/ireland-dpc-meta-instagram-facebook-gdpr-violation-fines\"><u>The Verge<\/u><\/a> Once again, the same commission has decreed that the company will have to pay <strong>around 400 million euros<\/strong> for violating EU privacy rules.<br \/><a class=\"js-external-article-title\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.3djuegos.com\/suscripciones\/noticias\/mark-zuckerberg-reniega-metaverso-esta-su-nueva-apuesta-para-salvar-a-meta-despues-sus-ultimos-fracasos\">Mark Zuckerberg renounces the metaverse: this is his new bid to save Meta after his recent failures.<\/a><br \/>This sanction, as the North American portal writes, is divided into different practices the company has carried out with Facebook and Instagram. Regarding the former platform, the company will have to pay <strong>210 million euros<\/strong>, a penalty that drops to <strong>180 million euros<\/strong> in the case of Instagram. This decision follows a consultation session with the European Data Protection Board, a body that ruled that Meta abused the <strong>terms of service<\/strong> that users accept.<br \/>This resolution is the end of a series of complaints that began in 2018. Thus, for five years, the social network has maintained that users accept the conditions and services of its platforms, which is why they can decide <strong>how they manage advertising<\/strong> and who they target according to which products. However, the Irish and European bodies decreed that this is an illicit practice. Finally, they revealed that, in addition to paying the fine, Meta will have to <strong>adapt their operations<\/strong> within three months.<br \/>Mark Zuckerberg&#039;s company has undoubtedly been going through difficult times for several months.
