If you are familiar with social media you have probably come across the hashtag #TBT <\/b>in more than one post. It was certainly used more frequently at the beginning of Instagram, but it has endured to the point where many people use it without knowing its meaning.<\/p>\n

It is actually an abbreviation of the expression Throwback Thursday<\/b> (in Spanish, Thursday to go back to the past) and, in that sense, should only be used on Thursdays.
The hashtag migrated to different platforms, despite having been born as a section of a blog.

It is so popular these days that there are even songs that are named that way. TBT by Sebasti\u00e1n Yatra is just one example.<\/p>\n

But what few know is that The expression has its origins in basketball culture.<\/b>. A blog called 'Nice Kicks', had a section dedicated to posting photos about basketball tennis<\/b> that used to be used before.<\/p>\n

It then went viral and was appropriated by the rest of the internet.<\/p>\n

1. Use it exclusively on Thursdays
2. Make sure it is not a recent photo
3. It is best to use it on photos from your childhood or from long ago
4. Although the use of hashtags increases the reach, do not exceed this resource, as the purpose is lost: remembering the past<\/p>\n

During those days when everyone was using #TBT, other hashtags also became popular and some survived the speed with which internet trends change.\u00a0<\/p>\n
