Now, Instagram has joined the roundup.<br \/><b>The social network announced it is launching a new template for Reels that allows users to create their own 2022 recap.<\/b> The summary can be shared with followers and friends. Among the established templates, the social network included narration by artists such as Bad Bunny, DJ and producer DJ Khaled, rapper and producer Badshah, and others.<br \/>Users will be able to select up to 14 favorite photos, and Instagram will automatically create the Reel from the selected footage. Users will begin seeing a new &quot;Create your 2022 Recap Reel&quot; prompt on the app&#039;s home page, which will direct them to the new template. If for some reason you don&#039;t see the prompt, you can navigate to the Reels tab and select the 2022 Recap template from there to get started.<br \/><b>Last year, Instagram called this feature &quot;Year in Review,&quot; which allowed users to select up to 10 Stories to share with their followers.<\/b> Now, Instagram is offering a built-in option for sharing personalized content at the end of the year. Also, unlike last year, this feature now includes selected images, not Stories, which isn&#039;t surprising given the social network&#039;s focus on Reels over the past year.<br \/>Reels have been a huge growth area for Meta over the past year. The company claims that on Instagram and Facebook, Reels are viewed more than 140 billion times a day. Meta has been bolstering its response to TikTok on both apps in recent months by adding tools that make creating Reels easier.
