The messaging app WhatsApp has reportedly copied a feature from Instagram, which wouldn't make much sense to integrate.
Instant messaging apps have been around long enough that we've entered a phase where it's difficult for new features to be truly useful. In fact, in recent years what we have seen is that the companies behind these applications are increasingly inspired by the competition.<\/strong>.
One of the clearest examples is the integration of statuses in WhatsApp, this being a unique feature. from Snapchat <\/a>and? Instagram managed to imitate it perfectly.<\/a>But what the photo and video social network achieved, the instant messaging platform hasn't.
And the truth is, WhatsApp statuses are almost never used. There are several reasons for this, but the reality is that it's a format that doesn't fit into an app used to send and receive messages. However, Meta does not give up on the use of this feature and from time to time integrates new functionalities.<\/strong>.
Normally these features don't make it directly into the official version, as they first go through the beta version, which is distributed to the bravest users. In this version, features such as the one that It has been discovered by WABetaInfo<\/a>.
Breaking down the latest beta version of WhatsApp What has been found is that the messaging application would be in charge of developing reactions to the states<\/strong>Yes, a feature found on Instagram and, arguably, even available within WhatsApp chats.
