Since Elon Musk<\/a> took control of Twitter<\/a>, social media platforms have closely watched the company's evolution. Rumor has it that Meta is considering several names for this new feature: Realtime, Real Reels, or Instant. There has been no confirmation from Instagram regarding this rumor yet.
This move could have several advantages. For starters, Instagram, a service acquired by Facebook in 2012 for $1 billion, has a high loyalty rate compared to Facebook and Twitter, even though it faces a tough rival in content creation in TikTok.
Adding a "text-only" section to Instagram could provide a solid proposition for those users who have decided to abandon Twitter following Elon Musk's arrival. This, coupled with the fact that Instagram has no plans to add account verification to a subscription and that the features remain freely accessible, could be a good step toward "stealing" users from a proposal whose immediate future is unclear.
However, there are other elements to consider. Instagram has several add-ons from other Meta apps in a single service. For starters, WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption. exists in IG messaging<\/a>, along with video calls and interaction from other Meta services.
