Besides of causing a sensation by looking like a K-pop idol<\/a>, he Korea's '9'<\/b> stars in a fun exchange between Latinos and Koreans that goes viral on social media. In this anecdote that emerged from the soccer player's participation Cho Gue Sung<\/b> Diego Alonso, the Celeste's strategist, will also be in the match between his national team and Uruguay in Qatar 2022.
South Korea and Uruguay <\/b>They faced each other today, November 24, in the group stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Although the score remained zero for both teams<\/a>Cho Gue Sung and coach Diego Alonso scored their own goals by winning over Latinos and Koreans, respectively, on social media.
Korean Twitter users were quick to offer glowing reviews of the 47-year-old former Uruguayan player and coach.

Their Latin American counterparts did the same, but for Gue Sung. The 24-year-old soccer player was praised for his skill and appearance, especially by K-pop and K-drama fans.
Among the interactions that emerged from the day, a Twitter post stands out, which more than one fan jokingly described as a "cultural exchange." In this update, a K-netizen expressed herself in her native language after being fascinated by Diego Alonso. In response, a Uruguayan woman asked him in Spanish to give her the account number. A third netizen, also from Korea, intervened in the conversation, leaving a screenshot of Cho Gue Sung's profile. She then received a thank you from the Latina, who told her in English: "In return, let me know the Instagram account of the director from Uruguay."

Diego Alonso's compatriot did her part. Shortly after, and apparently addressing her fellow countrymen who had also become fans of the coach, the K-netizen wrote in Hangul: "Koreans, I got it." Her words were celebrated with more than 5,000 likes, while the original post had garnered more than 11,000 hearts and 17,000 retweets at the time of writing.
