In the current context, social media has become a fundamental part of everyday life, so much so that a wide range of paid activities have developed within it, whether as content creators or as part of paid projects. However, these aren't always optimal. As shown by a TikTok user, who shows how she lost more than 10 thousand pesos \u201cbecause she was trusting\u201d and the method used to scam supposed job-creating companies on Instagram.<\/strong>
Digital fraud is a growing problem, because if we take into account that just over 60 percent of the world's population is online, they can be seriously affected, so much so that, according to agreements with Forti Guard Labs<\/a> for Latin America and the Caribbean, Mexico suffered nearly 80 billion cyberattack attempts during the first quarter of this year,<\/strong> a figure that represents a significant increase compared to everything recorded during 2021.
Social networks have become an indispensable tool for society, so much so that there is currently a base of Internet users with an active profile on any of the digital platforms, exceeding 4.62 billion, which is equivalent to just over 58 percent of the world's population, a figure that represents the growing need of Internet users to stay connected, trade and even look for jobs,<\/strong> Although this doesn't always turn out well, as pointed out by one user who lost nearly 10 thousand pesos due to a scam.<\/p>\n


According to what the content creator stated, everything happened when she was looking for a remote job to supplement her income, so, she points out, it was on Instagram where she found an opportunity to \u201cmake simulated purchases for companies and third parties<\/strong>"where she would put in a little money to buy products and, later, it would be returned to her with a commission."<\/p>\n


However, the user warns that on the first occasions the amount allocated was not much and she had begun to see profits; however, everything changed when he had to invest around 13 thousand pesos<\/strong>, supposedly, to obtain a commission of 50 thousand pesos,<\/strong> in which they asked him to continue investing to earn more, but this did not happen.
