Instagram<\/a><\/strong> is trying new ways to help people control your experience<\/strong> in the application around the recommended content<\/strong>Find out what they are about and when they will be in effect.
The feed is personalized <\/strong>for each user and includes a combination of posts from followed accounts and suggested posts<\/strong> from unfollowed accounts that may be of interest. It also shows suggested posts in places like the Explore section and in the Shop and Reels tabs.
Instagram.
Currently, suggested posts in the feed are one of the ways people discover new creator accounts<\/strong> and the creators come to new audiences<\/strong>. Since they are personalized for the user based on the content they interact with on Instagram. It also allows you to send comments so that suggested posts are more relevant according to one's own interests<\/strong>.
In the first test, people will be able to select multiple posts in Explore and tap \u201cI\u2019m not interested\u201d<\/strong> so that Instagram knows that they don't want to see recommended posts of that type. <\/u>
To do this, you will need to tap the three-point menu<\/strong> and then select \u201cNot interested\u201d, or click on the X <\/strong>at the top right of a suggested post on the home page. If you tap "Not Interested," the post will be removed from your feed. instantly<\/strong> and the app will suggest fewer posts like that in the future.
They are also testing a feature that allows you to hide content <\/strong>with certain words, phrases in the caption, or even hashtags in recommended posts. That is, people will soon be able to tell Instagram that They don't want to see suggested posts with certain words or phrases in the caption or hashtags.<\/strong>.
If you see something that isn't relevant or if you've stopped watching something you liked, you can use this feature to stop seeing the content you're not interested in. The words will be predetermined by the users.<\/strong>
Since March, people can also switch between three Feed views, including \u201cHome,\u201d \u201cFavorites,\u201d and \u201cFollowing,\u201d the latter two of which don\u2019t have suggested posts:
If you add an account to your favorites, you'll see their posts higher and more frequently. You can also see an exclusive feed of your favorites to catch up on their posts instantly. In that view, there are no suggested posts, and we never share who's on your favorites list.
To choose your favorites, tap the Instagram logo in the top left corner and add up to 50 friends, family members, creators, or businesses. You can also tap the three-dot menu on any post and select "Add to Favorites" directly from your feed.
The "Following" option shows posts only from accounts you follow, starting with the most recent post first. Similar to "Favorites," this view doesn't show suggested posts, and you can view the last 30 posts to catch up on anything you might have missed.
To see posts only from accounts you follow in chronological order, tap the Instagram logo on the home page and choose \u201cFollowing.\u201d
Suggested posts in your feed are from accounts you don't follow, but that may interest you. If you want to stop seeing suggested posts in your feed, you can easily hide them temporarily for 30 days.
To temporarily hide suggested posts, tap the X in the top right corner, then tap \u201cPause all suggested posts for 30 days.\u201d You can also tap the three-dot menu and select \u201cNot interested\u201d on a specific post so we can improve the quality of suggested posts.<\/p>\n
